My Critical Writing teacher was explaining her very strict policy on not having late papers. Her theory is that she will drop the lowest score of one of the papers or you simply do not have to turn one in. This seems reasonable to me, lots of professors have a policy similar to this one in the English department. Or at least it did until she started ranting about why she has this policy... She explained that she doesn't want to hear excuses about late papers.
