Here's the kind of dirt that will make all the naysayers happy I got back together with D...
Last night we snuggled up on the couch with a couple of movies, a frozen pizza, and some vodka sunrises. We were watching (and by watching I mean talking through) The Day After Tomorrow when there was a knock at the door. D and I looked at each other quizzically. He shrugged and gently lifted my feet off his lap, where they had been being treated to sexy strokes and tickles for the past half hour as we talked, paused the movie and went to the door. When he opened the door a female voice cheerily said "Hi." His response was not so cheery. "What are you doing here?" he asked. "You haven't returned my phone calls so I thought I'd stop by. I was worried." I recognized the voice. My heart started pounding and I swear I saw red. It was A! I dug my nails into my hand and waited to see what he would say to her, as much as I wanted to spring off the couch and gouge her "innocent" blue eyes out of her head I wanted to see how he'd handle things. "Stop by?" I could almost see the incredulous look on his face. "I called you back earlier today, obviously I'm still alive." He was blocking her entrance to the apartment, and there was an uncomfortable silence. I was sure that she could hear my heart's thumping from the doorway. He apparently sensed that she wanted to come in and said "A, I've been with Etoile for the past week. I haven't really had time to call you. She's here now... Do you want to come in?" There was a pregnant silence and when she answered her voice was shaky. "No. That's ok. I'll just go." He said "Ok. Look I'll talk to you about this tomorrow. Now just isn't the time." Then he closed the door and turned towards me. When he saw the blazing anger on my face his dropped.
"Oh God... Are you mad?"
"Not at you. Her. What the HELL WAS SHE THINKING?"
"I don't know. I'm kind of shocked at her behavior. I really don't want this to ruin our night."
"Me neither."
So we talked about it for a few minutes, eventually laughed about it a little. Then went back to being a sweet snuggly couple on the couch. But it nagged at me. All night. And this morning.
I'm a little concerned that she may be having some kind of "episode"... It isn't entirely impossible. My concern is that she isn't going to take it well when he tells her about how we got together. She's going to be even more upset when he tells her he doesn't want to hang out with her any more. I just don't want to be playing in a scene out of Fatal Attraction, y'know? Doesn't sound like fun to me.
On the up side: he's invited me to his parent's house for Christmas. That is very exciting. I haven't decided whether or not that's what I want to do yet... Still... Exciting.

Let's do the math...
Obsessive phone calls
+
Ignoring when someone calls you back
+
Driving a half hour to "stop by"
+
Long time crush on someone involved with someone else
=
Embarrassing at the least. A bit off at most. What will she do next?
