Remember the night we sat out on the dock? We were a little drunk, just tipsy though. You held my hand as we walked out there. The moonlight threw silvery beams over the water and our faces glowed as we smiled at each other, laughing at nothing at all. Kids on the shoreline were laughing too, playing hide and seek. We sat on a bench and you put your arm around me. I leaned on your shoulder and we watched a little girl hide behind the bench next to us. You smiled at her and she giggled uncontrollably. You have that way with children. They love you, probably because you never talk down to them. When her brother found her she threw a smile back at you as she ran back to land, waving. You waved back then you looked at me. You said, "Your eyes look huge. Do you want me to kiss you?" Before I could answer, your mouth was on mine. You pulled me closer to you. Then you hugged me close and rested my head against your chest.
I always think of that as our first real kiss.
