It isn't like me to get political, I'm way to selfish for that... But it turns out that my personal stuff has collided with the political... I'm forced to blog... Don't be offended if this clashes with your political views... We're all entitled to our own opinions.
D and I have always had a quirky little tradition. When we get up in the morning he brews a pot of coffee, I turn on the TV. While he makes breakfast we watch CNN. Well, I watch and read the tickers to him when they're interesting, and he explains all the political crap to me. It is sort of sweet. Except for the fact that the reason we do it is because people he loves are dying, and there is a chance that he could be sent too. Because D took the G.I. bill they can call him back, at any time. I can remember mornings when we started looking for WMD that he and I could do little more that stared at each other with worried eyes from the kitchen. It is difficult for either of us to understand what Bush is doing, or rather why he is doing it. We both voted for Kerry. We didn't love him either, but it seemed like a more positive alternative than to let Bush, who doesn't seem to care about soldiers dying in HIS war back into office. If Bush wants a war with the Middle East he could at least pretend to respect the men and women dying for his personal vendetta. It seems such a shame that America (all of you in the RED states) elected such a poor excuse for a human being. I hope you aren't sorry when your sons, brothers, husbands and fathers are the ones being called out to war if Bush can't keep it in his pants. Everyone needs to see this ad. I am sorry if you voted for Bush and you are offended. I'll tell you though, if my boyfriend gets sent off to die for a man who acts like Bush, I'm going to be the one offended. Promise.
(Not to mention that the man is against gay marriage-- so now we can sanction love? And wants to overturn Roe v. Wade-- Is he a woman? Next he'll want to make us all Christians. Protestants at that... Please people SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE... God, I'm moving to Europe.)

I guess it's easy for me to say this, being a Britisher, but... Bush scares the crap out of me. And the fact that MILLIONS of people think he's the right man to lead the country scares me even more.
I agree with you Etoile.. I hate that dickhead got in again and I dont believe he got in honestly. That vote was fixed - just like it was before. Dont bother moving this way - he's got just as much pull over our country because of our dippy priminister. Makes me boil.
