Men and women don't speak the same languages.
I mean, it sounds the same when it comes out of our mouths, we use all the same words. We just speak from different dimensions entirely.
After all this back and forth careful deliberation (on his part) I was NOT invited to go home with D to his parents for Christmas. Well, I was at first, then I was sort of un-invited. Long story short there: he wasn't ready for that kind of "step". Ok, I've been pretty understanding about that, I really enjoyed the moments when I was invited, and it hurt when he changed his mind. But I don't want to do anything we're not both totally ready for. It did hurt a lot though that he invited me not once, but twice, and changed his mind. But I got beyond the whole thing, I really thought I understood.
So we're clear, I'm over the Christmas issue.
I was looking forward to him being back home in time for New Years and his birthday (which is shortly before). Then tonight he calls me from work and says "You're going to be mad." That's right, he has to work on New Years.
When I expressed my disappointment about not being able to do anything for either Christmas or New Years he simply said "Well, we can still hang out on my birthday."
Yes that's right. The day I've been busting my ass for the past week and a half to make special for him. We'll still be able to do all the fun things I've been planning for that day. He's right.

Oh bum truffles - that's pooh. I'm not surprised you're upset. He shouldn't have asked you till everything was squared.
Boys are stupid.
I hope you've got something else groovy to do.
Oh it will be fine. I'm just annoyed that we had this back and forth over Xmas and then he's like "Well right after I get back I've gotta go back to work. On New Years"... Umm... He knew he was pissing me off with the Xmas thing, I thought maybe he'd have the foresight to think of taking like two more days off work so we could be together on New Years too... Men. But hey... We DO get to be together on his birthday, y'know all that stuff I'LL be paying for... We still get to do that.
Nope.. He's still not impressing me. Thats a bag full of shit and I'll be letting him wear it.
