Someone (a guy) said to me recently; "What happened to women? When did they stop being feminine?" When I inquired as to what he meant he told me that he has noticed the distinct lack dresses gracing the female figure as of late. I glanced at my own outfit which consisted of jeans and a sweatshirt, and I had to admit that at some level I agreed. When did we stop wearing dresses for daytime?
Magazines all over the place have been telling me that the day dress is back. But I'm not seeing it. I've spent a considerable amount of time in the last few hours looking for dresses that are casual enough to wear during the day. It seems that if I wish to stock my spring wardrobe with dresses I'll have to shell out 100 dollars a pop, at the least for anything decent. Which is unfortunate, because I look fantastic in dresses.
Where have all the day dresses gone?

It must depend where you are.. dresses are pretty popular around these parts at the moment - the kind that are a 50's shape and length, cross over and tie at the side.
Now see, that's just the kind of dress I want. How annoying. I would wear dresses every day. I'm not comfortable with my thighs and the "skinny jean" is ever-so-popular right now. I'd rather wear a dress.
Skinny jeans are crap and they should not be worn by anyone EVER. Any piece of clothing that makes your legs look like 2 carrots is a burnable offence in my book.
No kidding. I think they're TERRIBLE. I don't know why something so incredibly unflattering to any woman who doesn't way 16 pounds is an actual "fashion"... I can't figure it out.
Skinny jeans are ok if
your legs are thin And
you wear boots! Although
it does look Star Trekky.
I always feel like I'm
in drag if I wear a
frock, which is odd.
See, I have far too much in the hip region to be wearing the skinny jeans. I actually like the skinny jean/boot look, on other people. There's nothing wrong with looking a little Star Trekky, in my opinion. It's the skinny jean/heels look that seems silly to me.
